Honduras is Known for their high quality tobacco, which are rolled everyday into exquisite top of the line cigars.
Back in the 1960’s granted by the Castro government, a few professional Cuban tobacco growers traveled to Honduras armed with the best Cuban tobacco seeds and assisted the planters on how to improve their trade.
Today, Honduran cigars are of considered to be of excellent quality and sales are rated second place in the U.S. only after the Dominican Cigars.
A few of the Honduran cigars always makes the list on Cigar Aficionado’s top 100.
A trip here would not be complete without a visit to one of the best cigar stores.

Jose and Maria, owners of La Plazita Cigars were extremely helpful and patient, might I add, In teaching me the do’s and don’t of cigar purchasing.

As I embrace the Cohiba box brand of cigars, Jose is quick to point out that I have great taste, unfortunately, Cohibas are Cuban made and rolled and not allowed to be brought into the United States.
Sorry Guys! I tried.

Of course Maria insisted that I try first hand for myself the difference between a few of the Honduran brands.
Not being a smoker, this sounded crazy to me but as the saying goes: “When in Rome do as the Romans do”.

As Maria packs away my selections, I leave with a wealth of information and a new respect for the industry.
I will never look at another cigar the same way ever again.
Curious as to which ones I purchased??????
You will have to ask me to find out

After months of planning and preparation, the wedding has come and gone.
It was such a beautiful affair and I feel honored to have been invited.
The Middle Eastern flair that took place at “The Centro Social Hondureno Arabe”, is one that would surprise most American’s since Honduras is mostly a Latin community but for the few of you that know that I am of Middle Eastern decent, my family is one of the 220,000 Arabs that live and have businesses in San Pedro Sula.
I’ve had a wonderful time reconnecting with family and friends and now the party continues with a trip to the islands.
Tomorrow I will be joining several of the guests from the wedding for a trip to Roatan, which is one of the three islands that are off the coast of Honduras.

keep your eyes peeled for great pictures and of course keep your fingers crossed as I will be taking a quick 25 minute flight over to Roatan on a small twin engine prop airplane. OMG!!!!

Do you recognize what country this flag is from???
It is from the vibrant country of Honduras, Central America.
While others are celebrating the Labor Day weekend at the Jersey Shore, I am attending a wedding in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Honduras is known for its clear turquoise waters, beautiful beaches and breathtaking mountains.
Today, the country is enjoying a boom in tourism as its scuba diving, river rafting, mountain treks and eco-tours are making Honduras a must for thrill seekers.
Stay tuned as I will be adding pictures of my journey as I enjoy my week long trip.

Yes, yes, yes……
Today is really my birthday!!
I awoke quite early this morning which is surprising since I went to sleep way past my bed time. My dear friend Tim whom I adore by the way, kept me up until midnight to officially be the first to wish me a very happy birthday.

So far I have had a fantastic time celebrating my day.
My friend George surprised me at my office with a birthday cake which left me in tears.
With all the love and birthday wishes near and far that I have been receiving all day, I decided to take this time to let everyone know how truly blessed and thankful I am to have you all in my life. Where would I be without you all??????
Another year older…..Another year wiser (or so they say)
Being in your 30’s is truly a gift. I am old enough to be established and young enough to enjoy it.
A BIRTHDAY TOAST: Being OK with the past and truly believing the best is yet to be!

The close proximity to New York City is another reason why New Jersey Living is ideal.
New York’s Time Square is about 45 minutes from Central New Jersey.
Whether you are visiting the city in the day or evening as this picture was taken, you will always find that the city is alive and full of fun things to do for people of all ages.

Next time you drive through Colts Neck you might get a glimpse of more than just our beautiful horse farms and our stately homes. You might also get a little star struck.
Donald Trump is the newest member to join our long celebrity list of neighbors in Colts Neck.
Although the man himself will not live be living in Colts Neck, the buzz around town is that Trump has offered more than $28 million dollars to purchase one of our top golf courses namely Shadow Isle.
The club which opened in 2004 includes an 18–hole course, a par-3 short course and a recently completed 58,000 square foot club house.
US Open Champion Jerry Pate designed the course with every attention to detail possible. Even the most competitive of players will enjoy a round of golf at this incredibly beautiful facility.
Trump currently operates seven golf courses but we are excited to see Shadow Isle become the gem of his portfolio.

On Tuesday evening the Jersey Shore looked as if it had been invaded by an army of individuals ready for battle as we all gathered along the shore line dressed in the same uniform, (white shirts and Khaki pants).

On lookers from the board walk stopped and stared and whispered amongst themselves.
As camera and film equipment were elevated high above the sky, the guesses were anything from a family reunion to a movie being filmed.
In reality, Better Homes agents from over 28 offices were on hand to take part in our annual beach party / company picture.

Rooney’s Crab House played host for the evening as we gathered afterwards for some fun with friends and co-workers.
For Marilyn and I, it was a chance to introduce ourselves and Better Homes in Colts Neck.
Colts Neck is the latest office to join the BHNJ family.
The backdrop for the evening could not have been any more beautiful.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Does there exist such an idyllic town as the one that housed Cheers?
Is there a place where everyone knows your name?
Absolutely and Colts Neck is it!
Unlike the Cheers bar that was made famous in the 80’s sitcom, here in Colts Neck, we have a family restaurant known as Perkins.

With only a little over 12,000 people living in the entire town, it is very easy to bump into your neighbors.
Cooking is one of the talents that have eluded me so needless to say Perkins is my home away from home.

Upon my entry I get the typical “Norm” greeting.
I wish I could say it’s just me but the country charm is pressed upon all those that come to visit.
We even have our very own “Cliff Clavin”.
Our postal worker Troy doesn’t were a post man’s uniform but you will see him wearing many different colorful t-shirts.
I almost have him convinced to wear a specially made “Sarah is the best realtor” t-shirt.
For those of you around town, keep your eyes peeled for that!

Hi! I'm Tyler.
I'm always sitting under my Mom's desk as she does her Real Estate work.
No one knows who I am so I thought I'd create this blog and introduce myself.
I am a 4 year old Pomeranian. I share my home with my sister Tinkerbell, who happens to be a 3 year old T.Cup Pomeranian.
T.Cup is just a fancy term for “midget”. Tinkerbell is 3lbs; full grown; I know, I know, how cute, right?
I live in Colts Neck New Jersey and my mom is Sarah Bandy, a Real Estate agent who works for Better Homes Realty, the Colts Neck office.
Please check in often as I will be blogging all about the upcoming news and life underneath my Mom's desk! Plus Sarah herself and some contributing writers will also be hanging around to talk Real Estate. Hope to hear from you soon.
